"Summers in Rangoon, Luge Lessons..."

I've always wondered if this ever happened. They come so close to the edges of these half-pipes that I couldn't believe they didn't just shoot right out. The picture of the crash in action is crazy! There's a guy standing right there, can you imagine being right there when that happened? Geez.
